Gather ingredients for recipe.
Heat grill to 350 degrees and Peel apples & cut into 1/2 inch thick wedges.
Toss apples with cinnamon and 2.4 cup granulated sugar
Melt butter in 10- inch cast iron skillet over grill
Add brown sugar and cook stirring constantltly for 1-2 minutes.
Spoon apple mixture over pie crust & top with remaining pie crust.
Brush top of pie with butter & 2 Tablespoons of granulated sugar.
Cut 4 or 5 slits in top for steam to escape
Allow pie to cook for 30 minutes on medium-high heat. Then 30 more minutes on medium heat.
Cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes before serving.
Serve warm and top with ice cream.
